Miniature Horses

Our gentle ambassadors

Our miniature horses are the stars of Alegria Ranch — and for good reason. Friendly, affectionate, and endlessly patient, they have a remarkable ability to connect with people of all ages. The most handsome rooster in Louisiana

Yes, his name really is Brad Pitt. Our colorful rooster proudly watches over the ranch each day and never misses an opportunity to announce the morning's arrival. Visitors love his striking appearance, bold personality, and unmistakable confidence. He's become something of a local celebrity — and he certainly knows it.

Fun fact: Chickens can recognize more than 100 different faces.

Our Barn Cats

Big Red

Our biggest little personality

Don't let the name fool you — Big Red is our beloved miniature cow with a heart just as large as his presence. Gentle, curious, and always ready for a scratch behind the ears, he loves greeting visitors along the pasture fence line and has become one of the ranch's most photographed residents. His calm, easygoing nature makes him a favorite for guests who have never met a cow up close before.

Our Organic Unfiltered Apiary

Tucked along the tree line, our apiary is home to a thriving family of honeybees hard at work pollinating the ranch's pastures and gardens. We harvest small batches of raw, organic, unfiltered honey straight from the hive — nothing added, nothing taken away. Visitors love learning about the vital role bees play in our ecosystem and seeing firsthand how these tiny workers help keep Alegria Ranch flourishing.

Our Butterfly Garden

Just past the fence line, our butterfly garden is bursting with coneflowers, lantana, and native blooms planted to welcome pollinators of every kind.
